Many people with chronic pain spend a lot of time at home. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, even more people are staying inside. But how do you make sure the way you are positioning your body to do everyday tasks — like typing on a computer — isn’t causing more pain?
Ergonomics — or how we position our body and equipment when doing everyday tasks — is an incredibly important factor in pain levels and overall health.
During a free webinar on May 19 at 1 ET, Dr. Linda Kuserk, PT, DPT, will go over some basic ergonomic principles and offer tips for finding safe and comfortable positions at home.
While we will focus on how to be best set up at a computer, the same principles apply to all kinds of tasks, like sitting at a crafting table, reading on the couch at night, paying bills at the kitchen table, etc.
If you would like Dr. Kuserk to offer suggestions about your particular home office setup, please send your photo here. A few photos will be selected and shared live.
