This October, U.S. Pain will be hosting its annual Virtual Advocacy Training Series to teach advocates how to use their voice to improve pain management for everyone who lives with chronic diseases or serious injuries in the United States.
Director of Policy and Advocacy, Cindy Steinberg, will teach and oversee the series. In addition, there will be several experienced guest speakers.
The program consists of five, two-hour sessions. The training sessions—occurring on Tuesdays and Fridays (October 3, 6, 10, 13, and 24)—will be held virtually from 2-4pm ET with a short break in between each hour.
Topics covered include:
- What is Advocacy?
- The Power of Your Story
- Federal Pain Policy
- State Pain Policy
- Plus, interactive practice in small groups
To fill out an application, click the button below. Applications must be submitted by September 6, 2023. Limited spots available.
If you are selected to participate, you will be notified in mid-September. Accepted applicants must attend every training session, be seen on camera, and be willing to volunteer 10 hours to advocacy efforts over a four-month period following the training.
