There is an important bill in Massachusetts that we’d like for you to take action on.
Prior authorization can be a cumbersome insurer approval process that can delay or prevent patients from being able to get treatment. Senate Bill SD255 and House Bill HD1406 would eliminate prior authorization on certain pain management services, making them more accessible to patients.
This legislation builds off of a law we helped pass in 2018, the CARE Act, which required insurers to cover a “broad spectrum of pain management services” and display their pain management plans on their websites.
Now is a crucial time to act.
