U.S Pain Foundation has announced the details for its next Pediatric Pain Warrior retreat, which will take place Nov. 15 to 17 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Gurnee, IL. The third semi-annual retreat will host more than 60 children with pain and their families for a day-long education workshop, as well as opportunities for fun and relaxation. The event promises to bring pediatric pain warriors together for meaningful connections and friendships with those who truly “get it.”
“We are excited to be able to help empower and educate these amazing kids and their loved ones,” says Casey Cashman, Director of the Pediatric Pain Warrior program. “Most importantly, we are looking forward to giving them a chance to be themselves and spend time with people who understand what it’s like to live with pain.”
U.S. Pain provides travel stipends for families to attend through the generosity of several sponsors, including Johnson & Johnson, Genentech, the New York Yankees, Greenbrier, Thrive Tape, and Cure Medical as well as private donors.
Individuals in the tri-state area are invited to support the upcoming retreat by hitting the links on Oct. 26 for a golf tournament in High Bridge, NJ. The first annual event, which will be held at High Bridge Hills Golf Club, is structured as a scramble. Participants will also have the opportunity to win $10,000 with a Hole in One Prize, along with other contests and prizes. The golf tournament will end with an awards BBQ.
The entry fee for this event is $100. For details or to register, call (908) 638-5055, email [email protected] or visit www.highbridgehills.com/store.
