New York-New Jersey-Connecticut peer-to-peer support group: incorporating researchers with support this Pain Awareness Month
As you know, September is Pain Awareness Month. This year, U.S. Pain aims to spotlight the need for more pain research to improve outcomes for millions of Americans. In collaboration with the National Institutes of Health’s Helping to End Addiction Long-term® (HEAL) Initiative, NIH researchers will join our online New York-New Jersey-Connecticut peer-to-peer support group.
On Wednesday, September 20, from 6-7:30pm ET, volunteer support group facilitators, Jill Cooper and Christine Sotmary, will be joined by special guests: Linda Porter, PhD, Director, Office of Pain Policy and Planning, and NIH researcher Jessica Robinson-Papp, MD, MS. They will talk about the efforts of HEAL as well as sharing information about a pain clinical trials network called EPPIC-Net. Register today.
