In advance of its Pain Awareness Month campaign, which will focus on the importance of multidisciplinary care, U.S. Pain Foundation has launched a survey on barriers to effective pain management. The survey will take 15-20 minutes to complete. It is open to all United States residents with chronic pain.

“We know that multidisciplinary care is best practice in pain management, but too often, multimodal therapies are unaffordable or otherwise inaccessible to patients,” says Nicole Hemmenway, U.S. Pain Foundation CEO. “We’re hoping this survey can help us better understand some of the barriers patients face in getting the treatment they need, and in doing so, help identify possible solutions.”

The survey was made possible thanks to a grant from Sunbeam®, a manufacturer of electric appliances, including heat therapy products. Thanks to Sunbeam’s sponsorship, by taking the survey, you can enter a raffle to win one of 250 heating pads. (The raffle is optional and random. Your answers will not impact your chances of winning. Heating pads can only be shipped within the United States.)

The deadline to take the survey is Aug. 12.
